Price: $149.99

What happens to adults with autism after they grow up? Depending on the severity of the autism; only
17% of the severe autistic population live on their own. However, for those formerly classified with
Asperger's Syndrome; the future can seem brighter on the outside. But, on the inside, that individual
continues to face a myriad of other problems. This is a person who looks neurotypical to others but
goes through life with dysfunctional relationships and no evident social circle. This is an individual
who faces difficulties at work. Autistic adults are often strangers in a strangeland as they cope with
the puzzle of not ever being able to interact properly in a social world.

This course examines multiple aspects of the adult autism phenomenon, including, but not limited to:

  • Living Arrangements
  • Coping with lifelong anxiety and mental health needs
  • Employment
  • Advocacy and ADA, IDEA, and EEOC Requirements
  • Relationships
  • Healthcare
  • Aging
Tips and strategies are provided that will explore the lived experience of the autistic adult while
providing advocacy strategies for loved ones.
